Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd. (FTC) was selected in “A” List, the highest honor in Climate Change category, and was rated as the Leadership Level in the Water Security category. The honor recognizes FTC’s efforts for tackling climate change and managing water resource.
FTC has long been concerned about climate issues and engaged in various energy saving and carbon reduction measures. The company installed the rooftop solar photovoltaic system to use renewable energy and continues to improve the equipment and manufacturing processes to increase the production and energy usage efficacy. In addition, in response to the global carbon-reduction trend, FTC’s emissions reduction target has been validated by Science-Based Target initiative in March, 2023.
FTC has been actively established the water resource management resource procedure to increase water resource usage, mitigate the water risks, and reach water conservation. In addition, the company has been evaluated as the Leadership Level in the CDP’s Water Security category for consecutive four years.
